Exactly 2 months ago today, I unexpectedly, and suddenly, lost my full-time job of 4 years. Suddenly as in I was leaving work at the end of the day and found out that I had just finished working my last day.
Devastating, right? Just like you, I have a mortgage, a car payment, bills to pay. The thought of losing their job would throw some people into a panic, but not me. That evening, when Scott came home from work, we went out to dinner and ordered a bottle of wine. Instead we decided to see this as my a new beginning.
So why was it different for us? Why didn't we panic, too? I had a back up plan. Not one that I expected to use for years down the road, and the plan was for Scott to be able to leave his full time job of 20+ years first, but it was there. I've said it before and I'll say it again, becoming a Beachbody coach last year has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Coaching is what enabled us to go out to dinner that night, and not go into panic mode.
Becoming a Beachbody coach has allowed me to work from home, doing what I love, helping others become the best versions of themselves they can be, and earn an incredible living while doing it. I've met some of my closest friends through coaching (and this is even news to most of them!) I got to take Scott to Disney for his first time this spring, paid for by Beachbody, because of coaching. Before Beachbody we had never been to Las Vegas, but in just two short days we're flying out for our second time.
It took me 2 months to come clean with this because it was hard for me to share. No one likes to say they lost their job, but it's something I'm passionate about, and I know there are others out there struggling to get by that could benefit from my experience.
I am so thankful to be on such amazing Beachbody coaching teams that have helped me build my business along the way, while still allowing me to stay true to myself, and I'm so proud of my own team of coaches in Pure Synergy, who have been eager to learn and grow along side me.
Years down the road, I'm going to look back at this experience and see that it opened me up for bigger and better things. And besides the weekends off, not having to request vacation time off, sleeping in and being my own boss, you want to know one of the best perks of being self-employed? I don't ever have to wear all black again, unless I want to. Life is too fun to wear all black!
If one person can relate to my story, and I've helped them in any way, then it was worth it to share this. And if you've been watching me, wondering what it is that I do, and how I now earn a living from it, and it seems like something you'd be interested in doing too, send message me and I'd be more than happy to tell you more. I'm not just saying this because it's my team, but I really am on the best coaching teams out there!
