If you've recently become vegan, I know you may miss some of your old time favorites. When I was a kid, my dad used to make beef jerky that we used to take with us on ski trips. It was an old family recipe that had been carried down several generations. Recently I stumbled upon it and decided to veganize it. It took a little trial and error, but I couldn't be more happy with the results, and I think my dad would be proud, too!
Combine all ingredients except seitan in a large bowl. Once blended fully, add seitan and stir to coat. Let marinate 6-8 hours in fridge, stirring every couple hours.
Lay out seitan evenly on dehydrator tray. Dehydrate on low for 4-8 hours until desired texture. Store in fridge.
I can honestly say this vegan jerky would fool any meat eater, from flavor to mouth feel. I hope you enjoy it, and if you make it, please comment below with what you think! And feel free to share this recipe!
